The UK Government has removed approx 30,000 tests from the cumulative number of positive cases in England. They continue to be unable to provide a reliable figure for the number of people tested in England (unavailable since mid-May).

As of mid-May, the UK Government has chosen to stop providing the data for the "number of people tested", preferring instead to use the less meaningful "number of tests", which includes tests posted but not received, tests received by post but not sent back, etc.

The UK Govt publishes data for the whole of the UK combined, but not England separately. Because they no longer publish the "number of people tested" data, it is not possible to provide these charts for England alone.
